AIFF to Wav or MP3 Conversion

  • AIFF Files are created when you use an Apple Macintosh Computer to rip audio from a CD
  • They dont play on most players, and are not easily converted by most conversion programs
  • Here’s how to Convert them:
    • Open Quicktime Pro
    • Click: File>New Player
    • Method 1:
      • Drag an AIFF file to the New Player stage
      • Drag the bar to select the entire track from beginning to end
      • Go to File>Export
      • Select Sound to WAV
      • Click Save
      • Again, Click File>New Player
      • Close the old Window
      • Repeat above steps with each file
      • Open Adobe Audition and Batch Process all WAV files to MP3’s
    • Method 2:
      • Select all AIFF files and drag them all to the new player stage at one time
      • Go to File>Expore
      • Select Sound to WAV
      • Click Save
      • Open the long WAV file in Adobe Audition select each sound block, cut and paste to a new File
      • Repeat with each sound block
      • Save all as MP3
