He’s a Pirate

He’s a Pirate
(Read to the Song)

The wild ire of the rollin’ sea calls
May she never be denied

And she beckons to each sailor
To return fast to her side

As the tide rolls, and the bell tolls, we all gather at the quay

A foggy mist moves in, and it’s Anchors Aweigh

~*~

The dawn breaks on the sea’s face
With the spume blown overhead

And each crest fall peeks a red dawn
‘Midst the portents of the dead

With his sea legs firm as his gaze as the bounty draws near

A salty sea Captain, the lawless Buccaneer

~*~

“Yo Ho” all hands on deck hum
As we hoist the colors high

All tremble before Jolly Roger
And hear the death knell drawing nigh

All the brigands and marauders brought to heel and full of strife

A ship full of sailors live the vagrant gypsy life

~*~

‘Neath the Black Flag all are freemen
From seven seas they’ve come a-gatherin’

So drink hearty, ye belong now
To the code of the Pirate Brethren

All the Kings and all the rulers have no power o’er the free

There be no jur’sdiction ‘bove the powers of the sea

~*~

The very best of all us Pirates
Will end up as Skull and Bones

Same is true for all the King’s men
So we send them to Davy Jones

The sea is our master, and she’s harsh and she is mean

And we’ll serve and not mumble; for we’re bound for Fiddler’s Green

~ Bound for Fiddler’s Green ~
